Going to Court
The thought of going to Court can be daunting. Most people going through a relationship breakdown want to resolve their family law issues as efficiently as possible so they can move forward with their lives.
Many Family Law matters can be resolved without the need for a final Court hearing. Negotiation, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution can provide opportunities to reach an agreement without the time, stress and expense associated with a contested hearing.
Sometimes, however, Court proceedings are necessary. Family Law matters are now dealt with by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA). Even after Court proceedings have commenced, there are often opportunities to negotiate, participate in dispute resolution and reach an agreement without proceeding to a final hearing.
Our experienced Family Lawyers can guide you through each stage of the Court process, explain what to expect and represent you in Court when required.
Whether your matter involves parenting arrangements, property settlement or other Family Law issues, we can provide practical advice and representation tailored to your circumstances.
